These beginner guitar chords are all from the minor chord family. Minor
chords are known to have a soft, sad sound.
The minor chords aren't used as commonly as the major chords are;
however, they can certainly add some flavour and emotion to your guitar
playing.
My favorite minor beginner guitar chord is the 'A' minor. It goes very
well with the G major, C major and D major chords... try
playing them together! They work well in just about any order.
