Hey There fellow guitarist!

This free guitar lesson will be all about the pentatonic guitar scale. This scale is used in almost every rock, blues, and pop song that you have ever heard. Pentatonic scales are easy to memorize because they appear in a very simple, straight-forward pattern on the neck of your guitar.

A basic 'A' Pentatonic scale looks like this (called 'A' because the root... or the first note... is an A note)

E--------------------------------5--8--5--

A--------------------------5--8----------

G--------------------5--7----------------

D--------------5--7----------------------

A--------5--7----------------------------

E--5--8----------------------------------
