The great thing about the guitar is the fact that it is largely a pattern instrument. There are tons of patterns to learn, but they are easy to remember, and soon you'll be able to picture all sorts of patterns everywhere on the neck!

Here's a simple, 4-note pattern that you can move to just about anywhere on the neck. Move the 4 note pattern in this free guitar lesson to anywhere on the neck! Get creative with it, add your own flare to the 4 notes so they don't sound boring. Mix up the timing, order, and try bending for a little something extra.
