Your Third Guitar Scale Lesson

This is the third guitar scale lesson in this series. Learn how to play these free guitar scales, and you'll improve your understanding of the guitar!

Here's the third version of the C-major scale:

E -----------------------------------------------7--8--10--

B -----------------------------------------8--10-----------

G --------------------------------7--9--10-----------------

D -----------------------7--9--10--------------------------

A ------------7--8--10-------------------------------------

E ---7--8--10----------------------------------------------

This version of the scale starts on the 'B' note of your thickest guitar string.

Remember to say the notes aloud as you play them. You'll simply say B, C, D, E, F, G, A, B, C...etc.

Saying the notes will help you to learn the neck of your guitar, which is something you must know if you want to become a great guitarist.

Have you been practicing with a metronome? If not, quit wasting your time! Invest in a great metronome, and you'll see an immediate increase in your speed and timing. My favorite metronome is one that you can instantly download online. Learn more about the Ultimate Metronome here... it won't cost you much- and you'll really be amazed with how much faster you improve when playing along with your Ultimate Metronome.
